First Public Exhibition — Muiden
In early autumn 2025, I presented my work publicly for the first time during a small exhibition in the historic city of Muiden.
The photographs shown were part of a longer journey through Japan: images made while moving between cities, waiting for trains, and learning to slow down.
Showing the work in a physical space, outside of my own studio or screen, marked an important moment for me: not as an end point, but as a beginning.
Muiden holds a personal significance for me. As a child, I often visited the town with my father, walking past the castle and along the water. Returning years later to show my work there felt unexpectedly circular.
With thanks to Michaël Verstraeten and Erik Karel for the opportunity.
